Homemade Fancy Macaroni And Cheese

The other day I went to hang out with Mrs. G. and we made some fancy ass macaroni. I'll include the ingredients so you can make it if you want. We also added a little extra and less of some things. We have been planning this for weeks and I am so glad that we got to make it. We rounded down our choices to two different types of macaroni and each had bacon because bacon is magic. We added turkey sausage and took out the massive amount of arugula that the ingredients called for because that vegetable smells like feet.

This ended up being a massive amount of food. We had seconds and possibly thirds of it. We may or may not have also made brownies. I have some of this in my fridge as leftovers and this is enough food for about ten people to have a good amount. This was not that hard to make especially with two people working on it. She bought the onions already diced so that saved a lot of time. The really cool thing about this is that you can taste every single ingredient inside of it. Thanks again, Mrs. G!

Bubba Gump's In Santa Monica

Last week for her birthday I took Hotness to Bubba Gump’s over in Santa Monica. I had passed this place so many times but never thought to myself “I should check that place out.” I am so glad that we did because I’ll have to check this out again for sure!

When we got there we had to wait a few minutes and then were taken downstairs to a seat that was right at the window which is awesome. We could watch all the strange folks that came to the beach while we waited for our food. They have these signs that you flip over to get a waiter to come to the table which is way better than having to flag someone down or try your damnedest to make eye contact with them to get help.

Lemonade In Beverly Hills

Last Friday me and Cam went to this place called Lemonade over in Beverly Hills that she had been to and said was good. There hasn’t been a time when she told me something was good and it wasn’t so we headed there for some nyum-nyum’s. Yes, I am an adult that says that. I got the chicken buttermilk sandwich served on pretzel bread. It came with an arugula salad that I ate. Yes. I. Did.

The salad was a little too lemony but good. The sandwich was awesome with a green tomato on it and I hadn’t had one of those since I was a little kid. Cam got an arugula salad that she enjoyed and each of our meals were enough for dinner later. I also got a side of macaroni and cheese that was good. Not outstanding, but good.

For dessert that we didn’t eat Cam a big ass macadamia nut and cranberry cookie that was good. I got a brownie the size of a child’s imagination that is sitting in my fridge with just two bites taken out of it. We also got melon lemonade and an Arnold Palmer that was good even after the ice melted.

Red’s Barbecue & Grillery

Went to my friends Tanya and John’s and they ordered from this pace called Red’s Barbecue & Grillery. I had never heard of it but damn this place was good! Apparently there is only one location which sucks because I would order from here weekly if it were nearby.

I continue to be shocked when I eat barbecue that isn’t from someone’s house and I enjoy it. I think its happened to me four times now. The ribs were good and not from starving animals. There were also these garlic bread deals that melted in your mouth. And the macaroni was also super cheesy and good.

Cam had the chicken and some corn on the cob as well. I love corn on the cob but didn’t get any because I was being polite and let a late guest have it. I’m stupid. I should’ve ate that damned corn on the cob with my fat hungry ass.

Lola's On Fairfax

Last night I went to this place called Lola’s on Fairfax and Santa Monica. it’s a martini bar. Or maybe its not. Either way they make good martinis. I went there with Heidi, Michelle, and two of Heidi’s friends. It was a cool ass spot. And deceptively large and loud. From the outside it looks small. They were playing a bunch of old school rap songs that we were laughing at. Good times.


Most places depending on where you go bring you things like tortilla chips and salsa, bread and oil or whatever. This place brings fancy chips and some vegetable things I didn’t even try and touch. The chips weren’t crunchy and that was strange but the more I ate the better they tasted. Michelle said they tasted like they were made in truffle oil. I’ll take her word for it.

I had a martini whose name I cant recall. It was very effective. And when I say effective I mean it got me drunk really fast. Like, really fast!

Oh, the macaroni! Heidi was raving about this stuff and she didn’t lie when she said it was the best macaroni ever! It was enough for two people so I had leftovers. This place is super pricey though and not somewhere I would go to often even though it tasted great. Very trendy type place but no one was an asshole and the waitress was nice. But watch out for the gratuity charge.
