Vietnamese Pork & Shrimp Salad

Over the weekend (yes, I eat multiple full dishes in one day sometimes) me and H. had a really awesome dinner she made. It was Vietnamese salad with pork and shrimp. Thankfully I have been eating more vegetables lately because this had, like, actual salad-ness to it. I will rarely turn down a dish that has pork or shrimp in it let alone both. Are you crazy?! I’ve had dinner with her and her family multiple times but never got to make them one of my dishes but I hope to very soon. This was way more filling than I imagined it would be. When she told me about it I pictured one of those small side salads that you get at restaurants. It wasn’t! It was big and good. Like me. Click here to get the recipe for yourself.

I can eat vegetables if people make them well. It used to be Cam was the only person that could make them where I could enjoy it. Now I'll add H. to the list.

Looks yum. Wish I could present food looking that tasty.

This blog never shows up on my blogroll for some reason. Why would the great blog gods hide all this delciousness from me? Whyyyy?

Maybe you're not subscribed to it. I try and make my food look prettier ever since working on Hell's Kitchen. Heather makes some good food. Her lamb she made before was really good but I didn't have a picture from it.

Of course I'm subscribed, I'm just invisible...ooo, spooky! It says the URL is wrong but anyhoo.

Trying to make traditional Irish food look pretty is a losing battle (it basically looks like slop no matter how you present it) but I would love for my stir fries, curries, salads and roasts to look nicer. I'll work on it. I have some lamb in the freezer so I'm going to make a nice stew this weekend. Not pretty but so tasty!
