Getting Stuffed At Bludso's

Cam and I went to Bludso's over on La Brea a few days ago. I wasn't even thinking about barbecue until she mentioned it. When sat outside and actually found parking right out front which was a miracle. I wanted to order something different since I always get hot links and call it a day. This time I ordered fries and a sandwich that had hot links and beef brisket on it. Cam got chicken, pickles, corn bread, and macaroni and cheese.

You may also see some pork ribs sitting there? Yeah. Those came on accident. I'm no criminal so I told them as soon as they brought I pointed it out and they said it was fine and we were not charged for them. Cam don't eat pork like that so I ended up taking them home for dinner. The fries were really good as well as the sandwich which damn near crippled me it was so filling. I wanted to try some of the sides but I was so full from my meal. This was so damn good.

Links At Bludso's On La Brea

Tonight Cam took me to Bludso's over on La Brea. As always you can see her clawing at food. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to find parking because of the construction and traffic and stuff but we managed to find a meter down the street and walk right in. Lots of folks inside watching basketball which I don't care about so I asked if we could sit outside. The lady said we could but at 8pm they might have to move us because it gets crazy busy but we wouldn't be there that long so it was cool. For drinks Cam got the Cherrywine and I got a Big Red. I love the Big Red because it tastes like a drink I used to get when I was little. I don't drink soda much anymore so it bit my tongue but was good.

We shared potato salad and macaroni and cheese and cornbread. They have changed their macaroni and it tastes way better than it used to. It wasn't bad before but it wasn't anything to write home about. Now its pretty damned good. I decided to try something different so I got a chicken and a beef link while Cam stuck with the chicken link and some food to go. I always like that this place is pretty fast and the food tastes so good. It used to be hard to get good barbecue nearby. Oh, and their hot version of sauce is spicy as hell. Beware.

More Bludso's

Last week I went to Bludso's once again with a different cousin. This time it was Mala and she had not been before. We ended up getting the rib tips, beef brisket, potato salad, collard greens, cornbread, and macaroni. To drink I got the sweet tea which was really good.

Mala thought the collard greens were too spicy but I don't eat those so I cant tell you. Otherwise we both liked the food and she plans on going back again. I like that every time I go to this place the food is good and the staff is nice. We had a distractingly hot waitress that liked my Bob Ross shirt. Next time I go I am going to take some dessert to go and some extra chicken. I cant just keep on getting beef items every damned time.

Back At Bludso's

Cam and I headed to Bludso's once again and this place is great. We went to the one off of La Brea past Melrose. At first I thought it was closed because there was no one on the outside patio area. Turns out they were all inside, the place was packed, watching football and blasting music. We got the area all to ourselves the entire meal and started off with some Allagash White.

For the meal I got the beef brisket which was son tender I didn't really need my knife. It was just...damn. Cam got the chicken link that was spicy and wrapped that sumbitch in a slice of bread and enjoyed it a lot. For sides we got macaroni and cheese, cornbread, and potato salad. It was such a nice, chill lunch. Our server was cool and funny. I really like this place and need to go more often.

Bludso's Barbecue On La Brea

Cam and I went to this place on La Brea just south of Melrose called Bludso's Barbecue, and let me tell you: this place is amazing. For over a month we've been talking about barbecue and I had two places I thought about going to nearby because I had never heard of this place. So after some shopping we headed here.

I started off with the Big Red soda (Cam got Cherrywine) which is awesome and has real sugar in it. For a meal I had the rib tips. These were perfect. The seasoning was incredible. They have two hot sauces and the hot one is the better of the two. It isn't too hot and even if you do not enjoy hot, you will likely love this. Cam got the chicken and I tasted it and it was so good.
