I have a lot of food blogging to catch
up on so I am cramming them all into this post. About a month ago JP
and I went to Plan Check after seeing that they had this damned
burger with cheese, bacon, and fried onions. I was all over that
after we found out that they could turn their small burgers large. We
also got their fries, drinks, and JP got the chicken sandwich.
Everything was super good. Afterward we headed to this place called
Cofax which turned out to be horrible. The look on JP's face when she
saw the small selection was priceless. I got two donuts, a mango one
that was so damned tart that I could only have one bite. I also got
some pistachio deal and a regular ass cookie. We enjoyed our coffees
but will never head to this place again. JP was already looking for
another donut place while we waited for our order and we headed to
California Donuts which was fucking awesome. Every single donut we
got from them tasted amazing. No ICDC but really good.
On another outing we went to Guisado's
after JP had already been on a food tour that she forgot
about and I
will never let her forget that she forgot. She got the shrimp taco
and I got the chicken and beef. They were good but holy shit the fish
taco was really good. JP kept hearing people order it so we gave it a
try and got a few each. We did not stop for dessert this day.
About three weeks ago after going to
Float Lab with SR in Venice Beach I stopped by this place that I
forget the name of and got a Po-Boy with shrimp and fries along with
a lemonade. This was really good and filled me up more than I needed
to be but damn it was nice.
Today I went to Tom Bergin's with Cam
and we got the fried chicken sandwich which is still the best chicken
sandwiches we have had. The search for a better one continues. We
also got fries and she tried the fried pickles. I am not a huge fan
of pickles as much as I used to be but I tried these and they were
really good. She loved them and I am sure next time we head here
we'll be getting close to this exact same meal.
