Fat Tour 2014 Part 2

Today me and J. did another Fat Tour (click here for part one). We knew that we were gonna head to Glazed again because bacon donuts. That's all I need to say. So we were trying to figure out what to eat. I am always bad at this unless I am craving something very specific. When I hang out with J. she likes to try things she hasn't before so I suggested Noodles Station Thai Street Food aka @Bangkok aka King & I. So we head over there and J. says “Is that the place with the closed sign?” I jumped out the car and saw that they were closed from 3:30pm to 5pm. What?!

We were gonna go to this new sandwich place on Melrose when J. started talking about a place at The Grove when I realized...Wood Ranch Bar & Grill! I haven't been to this place in probably two years. So we got there and there was a ton of parking which is super rare. We got a table quickly and ordered. We both got the strawberry lemonades. I only had two because I'm watching my figure. Ha!

Woodranch Once Again!

After a busy and productive morning Saturday me and Cam went over to Woodranch over at Farmer’s Market. Or The Grove. Whichever you want to call it. I have had fun at this place each time I’ve gone and am glad to say that in a day and age where customer service continues to plummet across the board, this place stays friendly and fast.

I started off with a strawberry lemonade to drink. I love their lemonades here. They are sweet but not knock your teeth out sweet like some places make them. They even put a giant ass piece of mint which I removed and gave to Cam because it looked too close to a vegetable for me.

Wood Ranch Bar & Grill Again!

Me and Miss Q. headed to Wood Ranch Bar & Grill over at The Grove the other day and enjoyed an awesome ass lunch. This is the third time I have been here, the first time being with Miss Q. as well. I forgot to take a picture of the delicious garlic rolls they brought. I think we ate them before I remembered to. But I did manage to get a picture of my margarita! This thing was the goodness. Very strong and very smooth. Do I remember which flavor I got? Of course not! It was that good.

For a meal I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and a big ass lemonade. The pulled pork sandwich was really good and too big to finish while there. They bring the food out fast and hot which is always a good thing but not always a guarantee when eating out. Allow me to point out that our waitress was fucking awesome. So many times I think staff time when they ask “Is everything fine?” right when I have a mouth full of food and have to respond like Corky from Life Goes On. I wish I had gotten her name. She would see us eating and knew just when to come to the table.

Miss Q. got a steak salad. Now you all know how I feel about salad. This thing was awesome! It was seasoned perfectly and wasn’t all tough or anything. I may try it next time but take someone with me that will eat those little green things. I think they are called “Let Us.” This place is cool and you will not go broke eating here.

Wood Ranch Bar & Grill

After seeing an awesome film (which you can check out reviews for at dnashow.blogspot.com) me and Cam headed to this place called Wood Ranch Bar & Grill. This spot is over at The Grove and I have passed it an assload of times and never went inside. I would smell it and be like “Wow, that smells good…” but never ventured inside. Tonight we did and I’m so glad. We started off with this macaroni which tasted good. Nothing to write mama about but better than average. They also had these rolls that were super good but needed to be eaten immediately lest they get hard.
I was this close to eating a burger (my staple at most places I try for the first time) but decided to get a chicken sandwich. This place has ribs and stuff but I hate eating barbecue like that in public. You who have eaten with me know I use napkins and act all polite but when I eat at home alone I’m a fucking animal. Why lie? I eat like a beast when I’m by myself. Anyhoot, the sandwich was very good and had a surprising mixture on it. A hot mustard sauce, bell peppers, and grilled onion on a whole wheat bun. Very tasty. The prices are about average for a spot like this and you will have something to take home. Unless you’re Cam and order a salad with old lettuce and mystery avocados. I also ordered fries with the meal and some very good strawberry lemonade. I got three or four refills and the waiter was on that shit. It was awesome. Check this place out next time you’re at The Grove.
