Bollini's in Monteray Park

Last weekend I went to Bollini's in Monteray Park with Cam and two of her friends and a mama. I had never heard of or been to this place before. This was at the end of a busy day of being a professional passenger so by the time it was time to eat I was good and ready. There would be no leftovers for me this day. 

We started with a pizza that was split in half. One side I forget what it had but the other had shrimp. Both were good but I would have liked the pizza more without the tail of the shrimp being on it still. It was like bite, pull out shrimp, put tail on plate, continue eating. 

For the main course I got a chicken dish that was just too damned good. It also had mashed potatoes and spinach. I gave the spinach to Cam. I don't mess with that stuff. The amount was huge and sliced perfectly for eating. I let everyone have a piece because for as many times as they had been here none of them had ever tried it. It also had mushrooms on top that were super soft. If I am ever over in this area I'd love to go again.

Johnny's On Wilshire

Cam and I have now for some reason made a habit out of starving ourselves before finally eating somewhere. Between watching a documentary at the African American History Museum, shopping at multiple places, and screaming at people in cars while singing, we managed to go to this place Johnny’s that we haven’t been to in years. Its right on Wilshire right near the LACMA. We tried to figure out what we wanted (everything fro sushi to hamburgers) and settled on Italian since it covered every base we needed to be…covered.

La Bodega

Tonight me and Camille went to La Bodega over on Larchmont. Neither of us had ever been before but like Julia C. she had a Groupon coupon and we used it! The place was good and small and it being a nice cool Los Angeles evening we decided to sit outside. The menu was rather pricing (“It wasn’t that high online” Camille said) but since we had a coupon we ended up paying less than $10.

I got a chicken ravioli with mushroom and a Sprite while Camille got the eggplant ravioli I believe with tea. The portions were perfect so there was no need for a doggie bag. Funny though, if we had paid full price I think this would’ve bothered me.

The bread was very so-so and the oil and basil we were served tasted like regular ass gravy with oil. Yeah. I don’t know how that works either. The service was great and fast and if you have some extra change in your pocket you should check it out.
